The people and partners behind Reveal Digital
Reveal Digital is powered by a community of libraries, archives, and cultural organizations working together to make primary sources freely available on JSTOR. From early visionaries to current collaborators, our partners share a commitment to open access, equity, and preservation.

Collaborative leadership, shared mission
Reveal Digital is guided by a small, dedicated team of curators and program leads who work hand-in-hand with libraries and contributors to bring overlooked histories online.

Emilie Hardman
Senior Content Curator
Guides the curation of new collections and partnerships, with expertise in archives, special collections, and digital strategy.

Jasmine Wilson
Program Administrator, Behind the Scenes of the Civil Rights Movements
Coordinates partnerships with libraries and community archives, ensuring materials are described, digitized, and made accessible with care.

Jeelan Bilal-Gore
Collection Development Specialist
Focuses on developing a collection strategy and relationships with the AAPI community in support of acquiring content for Behind the Scenes of the Civil Rights Movements.
Guidance from the library community
Reveal Digital is supported by an advisory committee of library leaders and scholars from institutions across North America. They help shape collection development, advise on emerging opportunities, and ensure Reveal Digital remains aligned with the needs of libraries and researchers.
The current committee includes representatives from a wide range of institutions—public and private, large and small—across the United States and Canada, reflecting the diversity and collaboration that define the Reveal Digital community.
Libraries and consortia making open access possible
Every Reveal Digital collection is funded through contributions from individual libraries, library consortia, and philanthropic foundations. Together, these institutions make it possible to publish open primary source collections for the benefit of scholars everywhere.

Diversity & Dissent Fund
Reveal Digital’s first multi-year open access publishing program, the Diversity & Dissent Fund brings libraries and archives together to create digital collections that preserve the voices of marginalized, radical, and activist communities of the 20th century.
Launched in 2017, the fund has been fully supported by 61 contributing libraries, enabling the development of four open collections now available on JSTOR: American Prison Newspapers, Black Periodicals, HIV, AIDS & the Arts, and Student Activism.
Funding partners also guide the work. The program’s editorial board—made up of archivists, curators, and subject experts from participating institutions—helps select new projects and ensure that each collection reflects community priorities and scholarly needs.
Your institution can help shape the next phase of open access publishing by joining the libraries powering Diversity & Dissent.
View editorial board members
Reveal Digital’s editorial board is composed of representatives from funding libraries. The board plays a pivotal role in the selection of new digital projects and provides oversight as each selected project is developed.
