JSTOR welcomes North Shore Community College (NSCC) to the Tier 3 charter program of JSTOR Digital Stewardship Services, a values-driven effort to co-create sustainable, scalable tools for digital collections stewardship.

NSCC is the first community college to join the program. They plan to use JSTOR Seeklight, JSTOR’s AI-assisted processing tool, to accelerate workflows, and use the digital asset management capabilities within JSTOR Digital Stewardship Services to manage and share their collections. As a charter participant, NSCC will play an active role in shaping future JSTOR Seeklight features and community practices through working groups, user testing, and regular cohort discussions.

“We’re excited to join this collaborative community and to help shape tools that will strengthen access to and care for our collections,” said Rex Krajewski, Director of Library and Learning Commons Services, North Shore Community College. “Participating in the charter program will support our ability to serve our students and regional communities more effectively. We are especially eager to share our special collection of papers of the late Thomas W. McGee, Lynn, MA resident, community servant, and former Speaker of the Massachusetts House of Representatives.”

“Working side-by-side with institutions like North Shore Community College is essential to building responsible, effective stewardship tools,” said Jess Clemons, Director of Business Development, JSTOR Stewardship. “Their perspective as a community college will help ensure that JSTOR Seeklight and our broader platform evolve in ways that reflect the needs and values of a wide range of libraries and learners.”
