Scientist feeding flowerThanks to the hard work and dedication of our partner herbaria around the world, we wrapped up 2016 with more than 255,400 newly published digital objects, bringing the total to 2,879,000 objects available in Global Plants for your research.

We received new content and new specimens from more than 20 first-time contributors like Cairo University Herbarium (Egypt), I.P. Borodin Herbarium of Saint Petersburg S. M. Kirov Forestry Academy (Russia) and Ivan Franko National University of Lviv Herbarium (Ukraine).

Our most recently published collection is the Medicinal Plants Collection and Database, contributed by the South African National Biodiversity Institute, National Herbarium, Pretoria.
