Fees for secondary schools

JSTOR partners with secondary schools to provide affordable access to scholarly resources that support teaching, research, and college readiness. Explore options for journals, books, images, and digital stewardship services to enrich your curriculum.

Classifications

There are three classifications for secondary schools: Schools I, Schools II, Schools III.

Secondary schools outside of the United States and all British international schools:

To receive your JSTOR classification please contact our agent, JCS Online Resources, at support@jcsonlineresources.org with the following information:

  • The total number of students currently enrolled at your school.
  • The percentage (%) of your most recent graduating class that went on to attend university or higher education.

Secondary schools in the United States:

To receive your JSTOR classification, please contact us with answers to the following three questions:

  • How many students are currently enrolled at your school?
  • What is the per-pupil expenditure or tuition for your school?
  • What percentage (%) of your most recent graduating class went on to attend either two-year or four-year college or university? Answer must be in the form of a percentage (%).

Secondary School Collection

The JSTOR Secondary Schools Collection contains Arts & Sciences I-XV, Life Sciences, Business IV, Jewish Studies, Lives of Literature, Public Health, Security Studies, Sustainability, and Primary Source collections.

Secondary schools may also add the Ireland Collection and the Hebrew Journals Collection for a separate set of fees.

Books at JSTOR

Our Evidence-Based Acquisition (EBA) ebooks program provides secondary schools with unlimited access to more than 87,000 academic ebooks from over 100 academic publishers for an annual fee of $995.

At the end of each 12-month fee cycle, 75% of the annual fee is applied to automatically purchase the most-used titles.


Digital Stewardship Services

JSTOR Digital Stewardship Services is a seamless, cloud-hosted platform that unites digital asset management, long-term preservation, and expanded discovery pathways—including sharing on JSTOR—with the AI-assisted collections processing tools of JSTOR Seeklight.

Tier 1: Share on JSTOR

Share collections on JSTOR, making them discoverable alongside scholarly research. Includes audio/video hosting, usage analytics, and indexing in search engines and library discovery services.
