Arts & Sciences II

This collection adds depth to many disciplines introduced in Arts & Sciences I with core titles in new disciplines such as archaeology, classical studies, and geography.

Political science

Includes a strong set of journals in political science, including International Affairs, founded and edited by the Royal Institute of International Affairs. Also of note is International Security, edited by the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard University. Other important scholarly associations represented in this discipline include The International Studies Association, the American Political Science Association, and the Canadian Political Science Association.

History

Features a diverse group of history journals including The English Historical Review, the oldest journal of historical scholarship in the English-speaking world. Other key history titles include Past & Present and The Historical Journal. Notable titles include American Antiquity, published by the Society for American Archaeology, and the American Journal of Archaeology, published by the Archaeological Institute of America. The collection also includes American Anthropologist from the American Anthropological Association. Sociology titles include major journals from the National Council on Family Relations and the American Sociological Association, the largest professional association of sociologists in the world.

Classical studies

With eight journals in publication for over a century, this collection provides an exceptional range of scholarship in classical studies. Of particular note are a group of journals from the Classical Association, including The Classical Review, first published 1887. Other prominent titles include The Journal of Hellenic Studies, published by the Society for the Promotion of Hellenic Studies since 1880, and the Transactions of the American Philological Association, founded in 1869.

Geography

Offers outstanding coverage of geography, with more titles in this discipline than in any Arts & Sciences collection. Key titles include the Annals of the Association of American Geographers, published by the Association of American Geographers, and The Geographical Journal, published by the Royal Geographical Society (with the Institute of British Geographers).
