Reveal Digital is guided by information industry veterans who share a passion for humanities content and Open Access.
Peggy Glahn, Associate Director
Peggy works to raise awareness of Reveal Digital’s model and directs engagement and outreach activities to the library community.
From her first job as a public library “page” until today, Peggy has spent nearly her entire life working with libraries. Much of her career was spent at ProQuest and Cengage/Gale, where her roles included indexing newspapers, selling digital content to libraries, conceptualizing and developing new print and digital reference collections. Prior to joining Reveal Digital, Peggy worked with national libraries and scholarly publishers worldwide to help plan and execute large digitization projects through service provider Apex CoVantage.
Peggy is excited to bring her well-rounded experience and love for working with librarians together to help advance Reveal Digital’s Open Access ideals.
Emilie Hardman, Sr. Content Curator
Emilie serves as a guide for Reveal Digital’s development, sourcing materials for Reveal projects, working with advisors on developing and shaping Reveal’s initiatives, and building sustainable programmatic structures to help make our open access projects rich, deep, and inspiring to a diverse range of users all around the world.
Emilie brings experience in archival management, special collections and museums, as well as an academic background in sociology with a focus on social movements, culture, and media to Reveal Digital. As the former Head of Archives and Digital Strategy at the Center for Creative Photography, University of Arizona, founding Head of Distinctive Collections at MIT Libraries, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and Head of Teaching, Learning, and Digital Initiatives at Harvard University’s Houghton Library, Emilie has lived out commitments to educational outreach and digital scholarship, driving initiatives that expand the use of primary sources and diversify collection holdings. Emilie’s dedication to open access, technological innovation, and fostering creative engagement with collections connects and resonates with Reveal Digital’s mission to create pathways for discovery and connection between primary sources from under-represented 20th-century voices.
Currently, Emilie’s own research in partnership with Laura Miller (Brandeis University) is focused on American vegetarian and vegan cookbooks from 1800–2010 and examines the ways in which these books serve as carriers for social meaning and movements concerned with vegetarianism and animal rights. Emilie also volunteers as a counselor for The Trevor Project, supporting LGBTQ+ youth in crisis.
Jasmine Wilson, Program Administrator, Behind the Scenes of the Civil Rights Movements
Jasmine oversees critical aspects of sourcing archival materials to create collections for Reveal Digital. Working with collection advisory groups and source institutions, Jasmine defines the scope for collections and surfaces primary source, 20th-century materials to global users.
With experience across the arts and cultural sector, Jasmine has held positions at the High Museum of Art, Studio Museum in Harlem, Spelman College Museum of Fine Art, and the Atlanta University Center (AUC) Art History and Curatorial Studies Collective at Spelman College. Jasmine’s work as a curator and writer includes her academic background in English and African American Studies, with a focus on African and African Diaspora art. She has conducted archival research as a Research Assistant for the Brooklyn Museum’s major retrospective exhibition on sculptor and printmaker Elizabeth Catlett, assisted with permanent collection research on artists of African descent, and written her Master’s thesis on world-renowned artist Simone Leigh.
Through her positions in museums and archives, Jasmine remains inspired by every opportunity to uncover lesser-known materials, highlight hidden voices, and curate collections about underrepresented groups. Jasmine is dedicated to developing collections of scholarly value and supporting the advancement of digital, open access initiatives by uplifting the mission of Reveal Digital.
