As part of our mission to expand access to education, we’re introducing Path to Open Books on JSTOR, a collaboration with university presses that addresses the challenges of funding OA books in the humanities and social sciences.
Starting in the fall of 2023, libraries can acquire unlimited, exclusive access to new high-quality frontlist Path to Open Books on JSTOR every year. Three years after publication, the titles will then be released openly to the world.
This model provides a pathway for equitable access and impact for the entire scholarly community:
- Libraries acquire affordable, high-quality frontlist titles
- University presses can publish open access books sustainably
- Readers worldwide gain access to valuable content
- Authors reach a global audience
